Our history

Our vineyard was founded in 2006 by Bertrand Fourcheaigu, a veteran of several local vineyards and a graduate of the Ecole Viticole d'Amboise.

Starting with a small vineyard, Bertrand gradually added plots to the operation and is today the proud owner of a range of old and younger vines, producing quality red and white wines in the AOC Chinon .

Chinon is primarily known for its red wines, but also produces a small amount of white wines, and this is reflected in the Domaine de la Bourgesière wine range.

The red wines are made from 100% Cabernet Franc and the white wines are made from Chenin Blanc. No other grape variety is authorized in the AOC Chinon area and production yields are strictly controlled.

Our vineyard is located between Chinon and Huismes. Our specially designed cellar allows all wine production and bottling to be carried out on site.

Once the grapes are harvested and sorted, the first fermentation processes take place in stainless steel tanks, then the wines are transferred to oak barrels (we use new oak and aged oak) for deep maturation in cool and constant temperature cellars that have been exploited. for the tuffeau stone used in many castles and houses in the region. the castle and houses of the area.
